Spread The Positive was on site at the 10th Annual United We Style event last week and let us tell you it was truly spectacular. Kara Kemp and her ability to bring amazingness together are second to none. When she brings out all the stops for the 10th anniversary of her "signature" event it is sure to bring the house down. For those of you that have never attended or are not familiar with United We Style it really is hard to put into words. My best attempt would be something along the lines of..."It's a storytelling event, with hairdressers, and music and it ends up raising a ton of money for the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties but in all actuality, it is soooo much more than that. The rawness and the level of vulnerability that the speakers of this event get to when sharing their stories is something you truly have to feel in real-time. Of course, there is power in watching recap videos or one of Kara's sizzle reels but being there in the moment when these stories are being told is so powerful and so inspirational. Long story short, y'all need to be ready for next year and get your tickets the moment they go on sale.
We did do a live recording of the STP Podcast on location at the Walnut House, where we were able to speak with some of the storytellers, some of the previous storytellers, long-time supporters of the event, and of course Kara herself. The recording was in a loud room so please forgive the background noise and quality at times. The message is well documented and the people that have been involved with this event over the past 10 years are truly spectacular. Be sure to check out the episode and check out the photos/videos of the event!
Be ready for next year! Do not miss out on United We Style 23'!
