Murfreesboro Young Professionals Help with United Way’s Literacy Day of Action
Volunteers from the Murfreesboro Young Professionals (2 podcast guests – s/o Robin and Chase) and the United Way of Rutherford County helped with the United Way’s Literacy Day of Action. Taking time out of their schedules to come read to 1st-3rd graders at Scales Elementary in Murfreesboro, TN. Definitely a solid example of “what is going right”. Shout out to Murfreesboro Young Professionals in general. Always doing great things for the community they live in. Thanks to Robin Seay for putting this all together. Out here spreading positivity one children’s book at a time.
“Every book is a kid’s book…if the kid can read” – Mitch Hedberg
Robin Seay a realtor with Parks in Murfreesboro and the Community Outreach Chair for the Murfreesboro Young Professionals reading “The Giving Tree” to the kids. It’s a classic.
A friend of the podcast and soon to be guest Jamie Pilot with Timber Home Inspection reading to kids.
Meghan Henley with First Bank Mortage in Murfreesboro smiling big and reading for the kids.
Trent Denson, KW Commercial (Murfreesboro) reading “The Energy Bus – For Kids”. Shoutout to Jon Gordon and the adult version of The Energy Bus.
Laura Dunnigan spending time in between group switches.
Last but not least…Chase Salas with Elite Insurance Solutions reading the knock-off/bootleg version of “Llama Llama, Red Pajamas”. This one is called “Llama Llama, Lucky Pajamas”. It does not have the rhyme scheme of the viral video of Ludacris rapping to the original version. So funny. Chase was a real sport and made it work.
