This episode of the podcast is with JD Deckard. JD is the founder of LFCMT, a group of dedicated fans of Liverpool Football Club that gather in Murfreesboro, TN to watch every match they play. They are passionate not only about “upping the reds” and cheering on their beloved football team they also are passionate about coming together to support really amazing causes in their local community! With the return of Premiere League happening tomorrow we felt it fitting to release this episode with JD explaining the story and overall mission of LFCMT. The sense of community and acceptance that this group displays every single time Liverpool plays is truly something special. From personal experience the atmosphere and true fandom that happens at Party Fowl in Murfreesboro, TN is truly unmatched from anything I have come across. As an avid sports fan it brings so much joy seeing a group of people rally together so passionately about a common goal/team. The mantra of Liverpool FC is “you never walk alone” and this group JD has helped put together is an amazing example of living out that mantra. JD is definitely the “ring leader”, the guy starting most of the singing/chants and the guy that will go up to any and everyone in the room to make sure they feel included and welcomed. He has a very contagious and positive energy to him and I am very grateful to call him a friend. The outreach that this group has done is really incredible as well. They have partnered with local nonprofits and have raised considerable funds with their yearly fundraiser. It is very important to JD and the whole LFCMT family that the money they raise go to directly impactful nonprofits that are here locally in the Murfreesboro community.
