This episode of the podcast is with Karsten Ferguson. Karsten has a really incredible story and is an awesome example of everything we are looking to bring light to with Spread The Positive. After spending six years as an Aircraft Hydraulic Mechanic for the United States Air Force, he is now doing similar work for Lockheed Martin. He is a Military Veteran Representative/partner with the Global nonprofit organization Souls4Soles. He is also also the Creative Director & Owner of Focus Outward. Focus Outward is a Tennessee-based video production and marketing business with the motto, “Creating a scene to be seen.”

Needless to say this guy really lives out the mission of Spread The Positive. Here is a quick bio from Karsten himself.

“I’m a guy that over my life has gotten to meet and share experiences and stories with incredible people all over the world in and out of the military (USAF).
Did I mention I’m here because of a video game? I’ll tell you the long or short story later.
I’ve worked on planes, helicopters and now really enjoy content architecture which allows me to collaborate or create video/films and other creative projects with so many other people. I’ve had the honor of for the last five years working with Soles 4 Souls (S4S) an international non-profit organization based out of Nashville, TN.
One thing that I try to live by is a quote from Zig Ziglar: You can have everything in life that you want if you help enough others get in life what they want.”

Karsten has some really great insights on the typical STP topics and some awesome stories about perspective/maintaining a positive mindset. The work he has done with Soles 4 Souls is really inspirational and is a testament to who he is as a person. He cares deeply about making his community and his immediate “circles” better from the work he is doing. Karsten has been extremely supportive and has collaborated with STP on several occasions already. Super grateful to have Karsten involved with what we are building.
